Dubai Cares, part of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, is a UAE-based global philanthropic organization working to provide children in developing countries with access to quality education. Education is a critical factor in every child’s development. Yet, 124 million children and young adolescents around the world don’t go to school and a further 250 million primary school age children globally are still not able to read, write or count adequately.

Dubai Cares’ mission to increase children’s access to quality primary education is realized through integrated programs that eliminate the underlying obstacles that prevent children from going to school and learning. This is achieved through school feeding, deworming activities, early childhood education, curriculum development, literacy and numeracy through teacher training, school infrastructure as well as water, sanitation and hygiene in schools. Presently, Dubai Cares is reaching out to over 14 million children across 41 countries.

As part of its initiatives, Dubai Cares is offering donors an opportunity to adopt a specific program in a developing country designed to help children go to school.
