Dubai’s Sustainable City to cut 90% of single-use plastics by 2020
Single-use plastics are already banned at the offices of Diamond Developers and Sustainable City Visitor Centre. Dubai's Sustainable City, a mixed-use project developed by real estate firm Diamond Developers — the company behind the $544m (AED2bn) Sharjah Sustainable City alongside Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) — said it would drive a 90% reduction in single-use plastics within its boundaries by 2020.
