British abandon French luxury property market because of Brexit, Sterling
New research from London-based top-end real estate company, Knight Frank Group, indicates that wealthy British buyers are abandoning France with the number of British buyers of luxury properties falling 40 percent in less than five years. The Prime France 2019 report shows that UK buyers now account for only one in five prime purchases in France, down from three in five in 2014. The report cites Brexit and a weak sterling as the main reasons for the fall off.
