In its 4Q15 review of the office markets of Latin America, CBRE noted that total inventory of prime office space in Rio de Janeiro at the end of last year amounted to 1,573,000 square metres. Total inventory across all 11 cities in the region surveyed by CBRE amounted to 18,018,000 square metres. During 4Q15, average prime office rents in Rio de Janeiro were US$38.00 per square metre per month, or more than the average across the 11 cities of US$27.42 per square metre per month. CBRE classifies Rio de Janeiro as a prime office market where rents are falling slowly.
