In its 2016 Canadian Market Outlook report, CBRE noted that the overall vacancy rate for offices across Edmonton is expected to rise from 12.2% in 2015 to 16.2% in 2016. The Class A Net Rental Rate is expected to slip from CAD22.52 per square foot to CAD21.19 per square foot. Net absorption is expected to rise from -0.12mn square feet to 0.09mn square feet. New supply is expected to rise from 0.18mn square feet to 1.32mn square feet. Stock that is under construction should fall from 2.06mn square feet to 0.76mn square feet.
