According to CBRE’s latest Marketview Snapshot of the office market in New York City’s Midtown, average asking rents were USD77.75 per square foot per month in June 2015, up from USD77.51 in May and USD73.82 in June 2014. The amount of space let in 1H15 was 10.02mn square feet, or 16% more than in  1H14. The availability rate has remained constant at 10.8% through May and June, and is lower than it was in June 2014 (11.5%). Four of the five top leasing transactions in June were renewals.
