CBRE: Toronto neighbourhood retail cap rate to fall to 5.43-5.55%

In its 2016 Canadian Market Outlook report, CBRE noted that retail sales in Toronto are expected to rise by 4.5% in 2016, following an increase of 3.2% in 2015. The cap rate for neighbourhood retail centres is expected to fall from 5.63-5.75% to 5.43-5.55%. The value of investment in retail properties in Toronto is expected to fall slightly, from CAD1,979mn to CAD1,704mn.
