In the Spring 2016 edition of its ‘Occupier Edge’ publication, Cushman & Wakefield examined where technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) companies took up office space in the USA and the UK outside the two largest metropolitan areas of New York City and London, respectively, in 2014-15. They found that TMT companies leased 2.46mn square feet of space in Los Angeles, or 6% of the total leased in that city. Of the six cities in the USA which were surveyed, Los Angeles was the sixth largest market in terms of amount of office space leased by TMT companies over that period.
