According to DTZ’s Property Times, the conversion of Zone C of China Town in Xiamen’s Zhongshan Road to a hotel reduced the total stock of retail property in the city to 1,733,000 square metres. Across the city’s five sub-markets, the vacancy ratio slipped to 9.1%. No new stock was added. DTZ noted that most shopping centres signed up new retailer or food & beverage tenants.
