EIU: Beijing one of the most improved cities for liveability over last five years

According to the EIU’s Summary of the Liveability Ranking and Overview for 2015, Beijing is one of the cities whose liveability has improved most over the last five years, with its score rising 1.9 points to 76.2 (out of 100 – based on stability, healthcare, culture/entertainment, education and infrastructure). The EIU assesses that most aspects of living in Beijing – which is ranked 69th out of the 140 cities considered – as being ‘fine in general’, while noting that some aspects ‘may entail problems’.  The five most liveable cities and their latest scores are Melbourne (97.5), Vienna (97.4), Vancouver (97.3), Toronto (97.2), Adelaide (96.6) and Calgary (96.6).
