The latest Global Financial Centres Index published by the Qatar Finance Centre Authority and Long Finance (GFCI 17) found that Doha is the most competitive financial centre in the GCC region. With a rating up 7 at 691 out of 1,000, Doha is the 20^th most competitive centre globally behind Frankfurt (19^th) and ahead of Sydney (21^st).
