The latest Global Financial Centres Index published by the Qatar Finance Centre Authority and Long Finance (GFCI 17) found that both Geneva and Zurich have become more competitive as financial centres. Zurich’s rating is up 2 at 719 out of 1,000 (sixth place overall). Geneva’s is up 1 at 702 (13^th place).  Zurich is seen as one of nine ‘global leaders’. Geneva is one of four ‘global specialist’ centres, along with Dubai, Beijing and Luxembourg.
