GFCI 17: Hong Kong and Singapore vie for position as most competitive financial centre in Asia Pacific

  The latest Global Financial Centres Index published by the Qatar Finance Centre Authority and Long Finance (GFCI 17) found that Hong Kong lifted its rating by 2 to 758 out of 1,000. It is the most competitive centre in the Asia Pacific and the third most competitive globally by this measure. Singapore, with a rating of 754, is in fourth place globally and second in the region. Both are assessed by survey respondents as being among 10 centres globally that are likely to become more significant.
