GFCI 17: Riyadh’s competitiveness as financial centre surges

The latest Global Financial Centres Index published by the Qatar Finance Centre Authority and Long Finance (GFCI 17) found that Riyadh’s rank as an international financial centre jumped 7 places, from 21 to 14. Its rating improved by 13 points to 698/1,000. It is one seen as one of four ‘local specialists’ (with relatively few global connections, but depth in particular activities) along with Calgary, Dalian and Taipei.
