The City of Milan is having trouble estimating the value of its real estate properties, so they’ve reached out to New York for help with creating a census of houses and buildings. New York’s digital officer, Sree Sreenivasan, has been working for a few weeks with Milan’s budget and property departments in order to create an exact list of thousands of houses, apartments, and other buildings—not an easy task, since several past administrations have lost track of decades of bequeathals and forgotten acquisitions.
