JLL: Boston in overall fifth place in City Momentum Index (CMI) ranking

In its third annual City Momentum Index (CMI) ranking, Jones Lang LaSalle found that Boston was the city that, overall, has the fifth most dynamic urban economy and that is adapting most rapidly to technological and infrastructural transformation. The CMI analysis considers 37 variables across 10 topics in relation to socio-economic momentum, commercial real estate momentum and ‘high-value incubators (higher education facilities, patent applications etc.). Transformational projects and policies underway in Boston that were highlighted by JLL included the Imagine Boston 2030 masterplan, the development of the Seaport District and improvements to public transport services.
