In its March 2016 City Momentum Index report, ‘Europe Top 12’, JLL looked at the short-term social economic and real estate momentum, along with foundations for longer-term success. For the first time, Istanbul is in the top dozen cities in Europe in terms of its City Momentum Index. JLL noted that the city will benefit from a third airport, a third bridge across the Bosphorus and new metro lines. The city’s stock of Grade A office space is set to grow by nearly 60% over the coming three years. Over that period of time, Istanbul is set to enjoy the fastest economic growth of any large city in Europe.
