JLL: Melbourne in overall 18th place in City Momentum Index (CMI) ranking

In its third annual City Momentum Index (CMI) ranking, Jones Lang LaSalle found that Melbourne was the city that, overall, has the 18th most dynamic urban economy and that is adapting most rapidly to technological and infrastructural transformation. The CMI analysis considers 37 variables across 10 topics in relation to socio-economic momentum, commercial real estate momentum and ‘high-value incubators (higher education facilities, patent applications etc.). Transformational projects and policies underway in Melbourne that were highlighted by JLL included the establishment of the Melbourne Metro Rail Project and the long-term redevelopment of Fisherman’s Bend and E-Gate.
