JLL: Munich top New World City for investment intensity
In its report ‘Globalisation and Competition: The New World of Cities’, Jones Lang LaSalle assessed a number of New World Cities. These are rich and globally connected cities with populations of 1-8mn and metropolitan economies of US$100-400bn or so. JLL noted how these cities were leaders in terms of investment intensity (total real estate investment as a percentage of GDP over the three years to mid-2015). Of the top 20 cities globally, London (in top position) and Warsaw (20th) were the only two that are not New World Cities. Munich was the New World City with the highest investment intensity.
