JLL: Nairobi in overall 11th place in City Momentum Index (CMI) ranking

In its third annual City Momentum Index (CMI) ranking, Jones Lang LaSalle found that Nairobi was the city that, overall, has the 11th most dynamic urban economy and that is adapting most rapidly to technological and infrastructural transformation. The CMI analysis considers 37 variables across 10 topics in relation to socio-economic momentum, commercial real estate momentum and ‘high-value incubators (higher education facilities, patent applications etc.). Transformational projects and policies underway in Nairobi that were highlighted by JLL included the construction of the Konza Techno City and the devolution of power to (and election of) the Governor of Nairobi in 2013.
