JLL: Shenzhen in overall 12th place in City Momentum Index (CMI) ranking

In its third annual City Momentum Index (CMI) ranking, Jones Lang LaSalle found that Shenzhen was the city that, overall, has the 12th most dynamic urban economy and that is adapting most rapidly to technological and infrastructural transformation. The CMI analysis considers 37 variables across 10 topics in relation to socio-economic momentum, commercial real estate momentum and ‘high-value incubators (higher education facilities, patent applications etc.). Transformational projects and policies underway in Shenzhen that were highlighted by JLL included the completion of the high-speed rail link to Guangzhou and Hong Kong, as well as the development of the Qianhai Special Economic Zone.
