In its recently released The Hub Report, Knight Frank (KF) considered how Dubai compares with other global logistics, financial and tourism hubs. KF noted that there are 38 Free Trade Zones (FTZs) in the UAE. The comparable numbers are 202 for India and 230 for the USA. The number is 10 or lower for each of Egypt, Kenya, Jordan, Oman and Bahrain.
