In its recently released The Hub Report, Knight Frank (KF) considered how Dubai compares with other global logistics, financial and tourism hubs. Real manufacturing output in the Emirate grew by 3.1% annually in the decade to 2014. The corresponding figure was 6.1% in Singapore and 1.8% in Germany. Manufacturing contracted in Hong Kong, Australia and the UK.
