In its Retail Focus Research Report for Autumn of 2015, Knight Frank (KF) noted that a total of 13.2mn foreign visitors came to Dubai in 2014, or 8.2% more than in 2013. A total of 20mn visitors annually are expected by 2020, in part because of Dubai Expo 2020. The total number of Iranian tourists coming to Dubai rose by 41% in 2014. KF suggests that higher spending by residents should offset the effect of a drop in the number of tourists coming to Dubai in 2015.
