In its recently published report, China’s Cities, Savills noted that retail sales in Dalian in 2013 amounted to about CNY260bn and, by that measure, was the 19th largest metropolitan retail market in the country. Disposable income among urban households was approximately CNY30,000 per annum. GDP per capita was CNY110,000. In 2011, there were around 40mn domestic tourism arrivals and about 1mn international tourism arrivals.
