According to the Luxury Real Estate Report 2015 published by Sotheby’s and Wealth-X,  the average UHNWI property owner in The Hamptons is 65. Some 40% made their fortunes in financial services.  They have median net worth of US$80mn. Attractions include proximity to New York City, and shopping and dining amenities. As is the case with Washington DC, UHNWI owners of property are primarily domestic.
