In its recently published report, China’s Cities, Savills noted that retail sales in Shenyang in 2013 amounted to about CNY310bn and, by that measure, was the 12th largest metropolitan retail market in the country. Disposable income among urban households was approximately CNY29,000 per annum. GDP per capita was CNY85,000. In 2011, there were around 60mn domestic tourism arrivals and about 1mn international tourism arrivals.
