FIRST home-buyers can expect an even tougher battle to get into the market, after a major bank hiked its minimum deposits for loans in “risky” suburbs.

Borrowers will have to fork out as much as 30 per cent to secure a mortgage in one of the 600 suburbs and towns on NAB’s blacklist, Fairfax Media reports.
