Data from Bank of Greece shows that the number of appraisals of properties by banks dropped by 23.9% in 1Q15. The volume of appraisals (in square metres) and the value of appraisals were down by 24.6% and 28.2% respectively. The number of appraisals in 2014 was around one twelfth the number in 2007, the last year in which appraisals rose.
