TrendTracker_2

According to CBRE’s ‘In and Out 2015’ review of cross-border investment in commercial real estate, a sizeable majority of outbound investment from the Middle East in the last five years has been destined for offices and other opportunities in Europe. This represents a change relative to 2008, when about half of the outbound investment in commercial real estate from the Middle East flowed to the Americas. In 2014, Europe accounted for about USD10bn out of USD14bn outwards investment from the Middle East; the Americas for the remainder. Globally, New York City was the third most important destination for the investment in 2014, receiving USD1.3bn or so.
