Google is quietly buying properties worth $820 million in Silicon Valley as it looks to keep expanding

Google has reportedly purchased 52 properties in Sunnyvale, California, for $820 million.
The report comes one month after Google won exclusive rights with the city of San Jose to buy land there.
Google, which said earlier this week it now has more than 72,000 employees, needs space to hire even more workers.
